There was a helicopter crash in June of 2019 in NYC. The pilot, Tim McCormack, died. A tenant in the building that the helicopter hit was Sidley Austin firm. This building is about half a mile from Trump Tower.
According to FAA records, the privately owned helicopter was linked to a real estate company founded by Italian-born investor Daniele Bodini. Bodini is a longtime New York real estate bigshot who is heavily involved in the Italian-American community.
He founded a real estate investment company American Continental Properties. Bodini was also the United Nations Ambassador to the Republic of San Marino, a small, independent country in northern Italy, from 2005 to 2016.
Bodini is a member of the board of Trustees of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West (Cody, Wyoming). So is Dick Cheney.
