I keep seeing this rhetoric that if a woman is single in her twenties and early thirties, she's a has-been or dried up. I'm not making excuses for them, but I will for me.
As I near 30 (in 2 years) I'm unmarried and childless. And the reason? Men don't want long term anything. They just want a good time. I can't even get past the talking stage with a man, or the first conversation before he's asking for nudes.
Being a hopeless romantic with traditional values in a hookup culture, is a personal hell that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. And it's exhausting having to try again with different fools, knowing it'll end the same way the rest of them did.
Where are they? I don't use dating apps or anything like that, so where are the men that want marriage and kids?

You are me 32 years ago. I got married 1994 and had my first child at 41. So, don't look for it. It will happen or if it doesn't enjoy your life. Marriage and children tie you down. Enjoy your freedom.
I'm not against marriage or having children, I'm just saying....

I've heard that when you stop looking for it it'll happen. I'm just losing hope. It's all I want and desire tbh. Sounds silly I know, because there is more to life than that, but....I've always desired it. Just can't seem to find the right man who wants what I do π
I understand, believe me I know. No, it is not silly. Take your time and choose wisely. Don't forget to value your fun. Date lots of guys. Keep trying.

You know what I learned, don't let fear make your decisions. I dated some wacky guys in NYC.
