I still believe it is an insult and degrades our long-standing family status and contribution to the nation that a new citizen like this has the same voting power as me. Voting weight should be based on how long one’s family lines have been in the country.

It is the fairest outcome to reward longevity of citizenship and one’s contribution to building the country, and it does not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, or any other protected class…if those pesky federal laws matter any more.
