This is a very large event. I look at the NOAA graphs every day, and I've seen X class flares here and there. The Sun has a 12 year cycle of highs are lows related to CME activity.

In all of my years at looking at this, I've never seen before what we are seeing today and for this weekend.

Northern Lights could be potentially viewable all the way to the Gulf - unheard of.

Interestingly enough, the last major storm was on May 11, 2023 and this storm will make that one look tiny.
