A little story of the HMS Black Prince that was supporting the America Fleet at Omaha Beach and was appalled by the casualties ! The Ship a Corvette Class beached itself and opened up with all guns firing breaking the Sea Wall so the US Troops could escape the killing Ground ! The Commander of the Ship got a VC for bravery and at one time you could find this story easily on the Web but not anymore !
