I blew the $10,000 proceeds of my Dad selling his company (my small stock portion) on going to Antarctica in late 90s (via a Russian research vessel no less; used Geographic Expeditions out of San Fran. Great company, still going! The Russian charts and maps were amazing).

Rather than being wise and investing it, I wanted to go see penguins! 😂. Well worth it!
