There is no true ice cream on the shelves of supermarkets. I have looked. These are the stores I have looked so far:

Safeway
Trader Joe's
Natural Grocers
WalMart
Whole Foods
If you find a brand in a store please share.
There used to be a couple that contain only milk, cream and eggs. Now there is none. Make your own ice cream at home.

We started making our own, the stuff in the stores just has too many other things in.
We are now down to one brand of half and half, as ALL the others have guar gum a d carriginan in - because they are watering the milk down, they have to thicken it up again
