Dairy cows in Ohio have tested positive for H5N1 bird flu, making it the 6th state to report cases.

Dr. Mandy Cohen, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is taking seriously the infection of dairy cows on at least 11 farms and, most recently, a dairy farmer in Texas.

Public health officials have been "working on avian flu and preparing for it [in humans] for 20 years," Cohen said. "We've invested in our ability to test for it, to prevent it, to treat it."

The human who contracted avian flu, discovered last week in Texas had symptoms of pink eye.

There is still no evidence of human-to-human transmission of bird flu, called H5N1, within the United States, she said.

The latest evidence shows the virus did not adapt to infect a human.

Grow Potatoes in a bucket you don`t need a Garden

Be Smart grow stuff

I so wish I paid attention to grandparents who knew how to grow everything! Gonna have to figure how to do what you suggest! BTW, it is not what goes into a man that defileth a man, but what comes out of his mouth! Matthew 15:11. Think I will ponder that and try my hand at bucket potatos. Wish me luck.
