The whole reason Jesus did what He did was to be the final sacrifice for our sins. We are forgiven by what He accomplished. He fullfilled all the requirements of the Law. We now live under the New Covenant of grace. We then RECEIVE the benefits of all Jesus did. It is a free gift RECEIVED. When we choose ( free will choice) to trust, accept, and believe, we are made into a new creations, our sins are remembered no more, ( Jer. 31: 34) we are adopted into God's family. We then RECEIVE an inheritance of eternal life, righteousness, holiness, purity, restored to spiritual life
blameless before God. Inheritances are something we receive by what someone else has done. We don't work for our Inheritance, it is a gift. It is by grace we are saved, not by our works. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.(Ro. 8:1) What a glorious gift we are given!
