Parents were strict Catholic, went to catholic school 4 yrs with nuns, church everyday then on Sundays to boot. My father, Italian, family all catholic. Huge belief in the Pope too. I can only imagine if they were still alive today what they would b thinking if they would even accept all this. But I do believe they had a strong faith. I stopped going to church when I was living in VA. That was back in the 90's. When I got divorced in 84' church wanted me to annul the marriage for $500 which I didn't have have so I said FUCK YOU! My marriage was dissolved in the eyes of God imo. He already knew his plan for me which I didn't LOL. I still maintain my spirituality & realized I don't' need a church to express that. Some feel it's a way to 'socialize' with others but have never felt comfortable being around those who can't see the real truth. Husband was never taken to church lucky for him. He hates organized religion.

Organized Religion is corrupt.
There is no way to see in differently now.
Perhaps I feel closer to God

Appreciate all of you as well here. Was just thinking of how much I have learned here than anywhere else. I do believe we have gotten closer to God which was/is the purpose? If so it worked for some/many.
We re watched The matrix 1999 movie other night. I watched it the first time & it made no sense to me what so ever. Now I hear all the quotes which are pertinent to today! Unreal! Be glad & proud of yourself for being 'different', questioning, paying attention, being awake. We are here for a bigger reason & purpose!
