I always open the ones from 88022 but not the ones from just random phone numbers, I delete and report all them as unwanted spam.

So...my take on it is...if it's for real...then it's more about the first part of the message than the "contribution" part of it and they won't care if you don't contribute. If it's a hack job money grab...they will likely get ignored or...some gullible contributions. Interesting. They'd have to know that people will be highly skeptical.
