Real life skills should be required and core to *all* academic curriculum.

There's a quite brilliant, real deal Christian man, David Knight, whose daily podcast I often listen to who he and his wife home schooled their kids and he covers and keeps up w/ the subject regularly. They would include them in their daily lives and what *ever* work/chores needed doing using *everything* as teaching opportunities and even higher level/historical/science etc levels of each as they were ready or showed interest. Learning trips to museums and various places of historical or otherwise interests all part of the process. His son acts as engineer/helper on his show now and from his occasional on mic presence is obviously a fine intelligent young man.
He's got quite a cheeky sense of humor and a very nice voice as well making his show entertaining and enjoyable.
