Hello frens :)

Looking for natural and practical suggestions/solutions to help alleviate carpal tunnel pain and symptoms.

A family member is suffering and in a lot of pain while at work, lots of time on the computer. Any luck with specific braces, workstations, or anything non surgical and not big pharma that may help with the pain?

Thank you for helping! :)

I could barely move my hands... got eurogonomic keyboard and mouse and changed chair height and screen height. Changed my life. Good luck.

If the friend is open to looking within and healing some internal traumas, maybe the too pictures of the metaphysical aspect resonate with them.

I’ve also attached a picture of the hands and depending where the pain is, that can also be referenced as the route cause and healed emotional as well.

I’d have to do some research for herbal but if I guess I’d say devils claw. Don’t hold me to that though.

Also there are wrist rests that can be purchased to use when on a computer or keyboards with wrist supports.

Some things you can try are:
Rest the wrist
Take anti- inflammatory like tumeric
Wear a good wrist support
Elevate the wrist
Try a castor oil wrap. Get some flannel, cut in strips and pour castor oil on the flannel. Wrap the wrist in the strips and then put something protective like a plastic bag over the strips. ( to keep the oil from staining bedding) Leave on overnight. Massage Casto oil into wrist in morning and repeat the wraps at night. Store the wraps in a plastic bag during the day. Add oil as needed. Get good quality organic castor oil. This helped my plantar fascitis. It also helps back pain. 😇

I used arnica & stuff but finally gave in to surgery after I drove myself to the ER & begged them to cut my left arm off. Above the elbow. The pain was excruciating & back feeding from hand to elbow. There are two options with the surgery. Option 1 is the broad path & the one I choose as it’s more easily to recover from, which as it turns out, is the one where you NEVER regain function of your hands like it was originally. Basically the easy option (as I understand it), slices the tendon above entrance to the bone the nerve passes thru, to alleviate pressure…but have you heard of hamstringing a horse?…because that in a manner of speaking is what is done with this method.
Option 2 is the narrow path and requires more recovery time. Hope I rem correctly…they excavate the opening where the nerve is passing thru the bone to give it more room which doesn’t damage to the tendon, but as a much larger incision is required, so is the lay up time.
My advise…qigong, massage or change jobs.

Thanks for your input! The Dr is recommending surgery and I haven't heard good things so far. A career change was my suggestion too, but that is easier said than done. Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. 🙏🏼

I recommended clove oil to a friend with carpal tunnel. He said it works pretty good. Just rub it on. I use it at night on my lower back. It rarely hurts anymore. You probably won't like the smell though.

When I had it (too much time on the keyboard) I wore braces to minimize movement. The job was very stressful, MANY hours at the computer. It eventually went away when I stopped overusing my wrists. Try arnica cream or oil topically for pain relief.

VK has been talking recently about DMSO and many are reporting it is working great topically for localized pain.
