So where does one go to learn about “deep time”?
First, I’d say inquire of the one who made it. EVERYTHING is part of an INTELLIGENT design.
Second, I’d say Elon’s perspective of eternal life doesn’t take into account a PERFECTED mind & body for a perfected soul to live in during that ‘eternity’. That would seem to change the paradigm completely from the examples of humanity that we currently are.
Matt 6:33 covers this also I expect. In the seeking after God we learn so much of Him & His creation in the journey, which prepares one for the destination.
