Reach on X feels more heavily suppressed than it was on the old Twitter. Maybe I should put my energies elsewhere? At least writing on Substack gets a gentle audience growth and modest income to live off — without selling my soul to the attention harvesters via ads. Or perhaps a total financial collapse and comms blackout makes it moot.

No more moot than anyone’s jobs, potentially. Do what feels right and good.
