My sense is that to succeed in this kind of psychological war of attrition you have to be motivated by something other than glory at the end. That would drive you insane. For me, it’s the defiance along the way. No matter how low I go, I cannot give them the satisfaction of seeing me give up.

I like that Martin. As the saying goes, never let them see you sweat. The end is near, but we must trod on no matter how rough it gets. We can't ever give in and give up.
