And I said, βHere am I. Send me!" π
Needing some prayers, I'm having a challenging day. A strong storm rolled over my part of town, we had a tornado warning for the area so I went down to my basement, nothing really happened here just some intense rain. I went out to my car after the storm had passed to go get some groceries and it seems the storm was so strong that my car took some damage. A leak formed somewhere at the top of my windshield and water got in. It leaked dead center directly over my rear view mirror, radio and shifter then pooled down onto my driver's side floor. The A/C won't shut off even with the keys out and car off. I'm upset about this potentially being an expensive fix, trying not to cry. Just need prayers to stay calm through this trial. π€
The AC switch has likely taken on moisture causing it to remain energized. It should turn off after it dries out. In the meantime, pull the fuse for the AC if that is the only problem. It's not hard to locate the fuse box/applicable fuse. Google make and model for location. Give us an update... You have my prayers.
Or disconnecting the battery would work as well. As they said, the water is acting as a conductor keeping things running.
All will be ok.
And I said, βHere am I. Send me!" π
@rightready I did end up disconnecting the battery. Dropped it off at a repair shop to replace the windshield and seal. Put a tarp over it so it doesn't keep leaking if it rains more. I'll have to address the electronics tomarrow after I get it back.
