Unplug battery cable 15-20 minutes see if car computer resets. Check if check engine light is on, auto zone can run codes.

That's my next stop tomarrow, I did disconnect the A/c and battery for now so it's not draining battery juice. Glass is getting repaired then I'll see about my dash damage.

You are getting some great advice here. We are all going through some tough days right now, this atmosphere of what is happening has us all totally exhausted from daily anxieties. Listen to what our friends have said about disconnecting the fuse or battery, give it a little time to dry and try to also seal the windshield. If it's not possible a glass shop should be able to help you at a modest cost if any. I hope things get better soon for you.

Took the advice I recieved and applied it all. 😋 Took it to the glass repair shop dropped it off overnight to be repaired first thing in the morning. Disconnected the A/C line and also the battery so it doesn't go off all night. Used a shop vac and blue disposable paper towels to clean up the water as best I could and put a tarp over to stop and leaks if it rains overnight too. 😎

Let it dry out and you can take one of the cables off the battery and reset everything - you can run a small bead of silcone across the top windshield line - we got hit Friday night broke a huge limb on 66 year old tree that pushed all the power lines together shutting down the neighborhood electricity for 15 hrs took a very skilled crew hours to get this limb down - it can always be worse I bet drying time and a reset will help you

Thank you! I had to leave it overnight at a repair shop 😋 to get the glass fixed. Put a tarp over it to stop further leaking if it rains more. Hopefully it dries off enough. I disconnected the a/c and battery for now so it doesn't drain the battery switching on and off on it's own lol!

The AC switch has likely taken on moisture causing it to remain energized. It should turn off after it dries out. In the meantime, pull the fuse for the AC if that is the only problem. It's not hard to locate the fuse box/applicable fuse. Google make and model for location. Give us an update... You have my prayers.

Or disconnecting the battery would work as well. As they said, the water is acting as a conductor keeping things running.

All will be ok.

If you have a dehumidifier and a garage with a door. Seal openings to keep air in. Sop up all the water with towels and leave your doors open and trunk. Run that dehumidifier to remove all the moisture. Still call your Insurance to replace your window. The seal has worn away.

Called the insurance, dropped my car off at a shop overnight to get the glass replaced first thing in the morning so at least the seal will be fixed quickly. I used a shop vac and a lot of those blue paper towels mechanics use in their shops to dry everything off as best as I could. I put a tarp over it for overnight too so it doesn't keep leaking.

Oh Serah! Sending a fast dry out and an angel your way to help guide you… something is making a connection where it should not and water is a conductor. If you can plug that leak with anything to stop that from happening again, then maybe it really is only a windshield seal or something that simple. The hard connection could drain your battery in the meantime though 🧐 No matter what, be careful not to get shocked! Prayers up 🙏🙏🙏
