Sad, but true. Doing research on my Constitutional Law class, and learned how kick-ass my (sort of) home state of Maryland was. They held the line before signing the Articles of Confederation (not allowing VA and PA to claim land to and past the Mississippi). And they held out on ratifying the Constitution until the Bill of Rights were committed to being passed (part those discussions for the need for one).
Now - Maryland is an annex of the Federal government, full of lazy, entitled, over-paid zombies and those who love their socialism.
