Just an observation, if ambient energy tech was released tomorrow morning it would take years to implement a switchover from conventional generation methods. Also all the communication systems and infrastructure routing would require new components to interface.
Unless of course these devices and components were already developed and available for the people to utilize. Just riffin here.
