I am convinced that Hitler and Stalin arranged to surround Leningrad (st Petersburg) and starved over 1million people to death in the course of most brutal coldest winter on record 1942. Stalin depopulated most hated by him remnants of old intelligencia in Leningrad still left there after the Bolshevik's revolution 1917 and then re-populated with the peasants from near by villages. The entire WW2 was a depopulation theater and killing old culture. So they could bring new generations of people who obey and cannot think for themselves.
