had a hundred lbs shepherd that I had to put down at 13 yo, now my wolf dog is 12, has a huge tumor, pancreatitis. 1400 bucks at vet hospital. they got him in fairly good shape, but once again I’ll come home with an empty collar and leash, and wife will hate me. Maybe a couple months, IDK. Just a dad thing I guess

Having a tough time with it, but he doesn’t need to suffer. I figure a month or 2 at the most. Next time he’s in distress I’ll call it and take the hit

Yeah, I understand. Thats what I did with my Springer Spaniel when he had a tumor at age 14. And his brother who died 3 months later: as soon as they went into respiratory distress, I made the call. It is heartbreaking, but in the meantime enjoy your fur-baby's love for you and you for him.
