Actually immunity is a lie. I can show SCOTUS case law that states that clearly, no one is above the reach of prosecution for crimes. There are immunities to certain kinds of procedures and stuff while in office operating legally under the law...but no such thing as a blanket "immunity" from any investigation or prosecution for crime.
