I don't know who will see this, but if you do, could you say a prayer for my daughter please? She is 21 months old and we are fairly certain she has the mumps. We are trying to avoid taking her to a dr/hospital but it's hard to know what to do when she is hurting so much and can't tell us a whole lot. Any prayers, encouragement and/or advice is welcome. Poor little one. She will be fine. Just make her as comfortable as you can. Watch her temperature. Treatment for mumps is focused on relieving symptoms until your body's immune system fights off the infection. There are currently no medicines to treat the mumps virus. The infection usually passes within a week or two.

Thank you. 🙏 The fever hasnt gotten too high but she's been so out of it for most of the day for the past few days. She was/is a preemie too so i worry extra about everything with her. She always proves her strength but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with. I think we're through the worst of it. I just keep expecting the next day to be better than it ends up being.
