Well, I'm screwed then. I have no money, I have disabled adult kids with me for life, I'm a single mom. I have no idea how all this works (not techy at all) and it is incredibly confusing to the max...

VK I know you tried, you explained a lot, but my brain just couldn't follow it. I'm too old I guess to really understand this. And it seems really scary to have 'money' that is held online somewhere that could disappear at any moment. What prevents us from losing money this way? I hear about this coin or that coin disappearing and people losing A LOT of money and I go cold all over. I can't afford to lose money, I can barely make it paycheck to paycheck.

What happens to people like us, if the 'wealth is redistributed' through XRP? If that is the only way to see any money coming my way, then I'm screwed.

Thanks for trying to help others get some of that money, and you did try hard to explain, I remember. Some of us just can't make it happen for one reason or another :(

Been in crypto 3 yrs now. I have multiple exchange accts in multiple countries and multiple wallets on multiple devices, and it still makes me nervous.

Over that time, I've done >1000 hrs research on Ripple & XRP. I've told everyone I know about XRP. Family, random people, whoever would listen. At the end, I always say, "However much $ you'd take to the casino for a night; take that amount and gamble on what I just told you. OR whatever amount that you wouldn't miss having. From there, do your own due diligence and make your own decisions."

Understanding economics is rough. But you can understand this..
Ripple's Board members include:
Former US Treasurer
Former US Comptroller of Currency
Former US SEC Chairman
Etc. Etc.

The easiest way to acquire it, is through a phone app called Uphold. Uphold's minimum is $10. Buy $10 worth every week or two, and it's money you WON'T MISS.

If you lose it, you lose it.🤷‍♂️

Can you buy crypto at all in NY?

My way: Fund Binance US account > Buy XLM > Transfer XLM to wallet > Transfer XLM to Bitrue(my main exchange) > Flip to USDC/T >Buy XRP > Transfer XRP to wallet .

If you can't buy crypto at all, you still have options.
1) Find someone to buy it for you and transfer to your wallet. (out of state friend/family)
2) Purchase on an International exchange, like Bitrue. Might need a VPN. (I don't.)

Oh yeah. I use Coinbase to change the fiat into crypto. NY won't even let you buy Teether on Coinbase, so I buy XLM and send it to Kucoin. Convert the XLM to Teether on Kucoin, and buy XRP. Then send the XRP to my Ledger.

It took a little while to figure it all out especially Kucoin , but I can do it pretty quick now.

I think you can use Coinbase, Gemini, Bitstamp, and maybe Robinhood in NY, as far as I know.
