He landed on Omaha Beach in the first wave on June 6, 1944.
He survived, came home, raised a family and had a productive life.
HE deserves to be remembered for HIS VALOR.
He does not deserve to have his valor AND identity robbed.

If this man were someone you knew, I would think you would do the same. He was proud of his service. His children and grandchildren and community were also very proud of him.
He was from Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, if youd like to look him up.
There are wishes we have... I have many myself concerning the same things you express. This man being anyone other than the person his family and community respected all of his life isnt one of them.
