This man’s name was Russel Pickett.
He was from Tennessee.
He landed on Omaha Beach in the first wave on June 6, 1944.
He survived, came home, raised a family and had a productive life.
HE deserves to be remembered for HIS VALOR.
He does not deserve to have his valor AND identity robbed.
