Not really, no. Even if there was a direct connection between sugar and sickness, which there isn't in the way the post is implying, eating a couple day's worth sugar at once won't make your body roll the dice on whether to get sick or not every day for a month straight.

It is true parasites feed on sugar. Bad gut "flora" vs. healthy gut "flora" is the key to disease or good health.
but then you throw in the lack of vitamin d and not going into public because of the cold into eating all the sugar, carbs, and starches it will through the body off.
also the lack of hydration as well... think you don't drink as much water because your not hot or sweating. the combination of it all does make sense actually.
