There are some posts on AU that truly lift my spirits and assure me of the "calm after the storm". VK, Kim Runner, Kat is the Sea and so many more. It will seem a big piece of our lives will be missing without VK. Wherever VK goes, a piece of our hearts will go there too.
Brandy, my friend, I feel the same way about YOUR posts.
For one thing, you teach me Scripture
& since I'm not a "churched" woman that helps me.
Juan quoted proverbs the other day
referring to people's expectations for
President Trump's announcement.
So I looked it up:
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”
Proverbs 13 : 12
Even though we can't be sure who wrote the Bible,
or much of it,
or how much was thrown out
or edited,
when you come across a quote like that you just KNOW
that is Divine LIGHT.
Anyway, I'm so grateful for your presence here on AU.
Happy Holidays to you Meemaw & your family 😽🙏💞🕊️
US Navy veteran, live in caregiver for my 99 yo Mother, Nana and Great Nana
Thank you Kat. I began reading the Bible in 2020 so that my Mother would be able to hear the stories of old like David and Goliath and Daniel and the lions' den. The Bible has become the Word of the Lord to us through our yearning for truth and opening our hearts and our minds. My mother is 98 and her time to meet our Savior face to face is not too far away. She is going blind and losing her hearing so I am her eyes and ears now. My connection to God through ministering to her has been greatly strengthened. It's truly amazing how God has been so patient with we humans throughout all these centuries. He is still patiently waiting for us to get this right. We are almost there.
