They use these dolls in movies when they can't use a real baby.
I had someone in my family who collected dolls, that is why I think. Family used to talk about how life-like the dolls wee. She had so many dolls everywhere, and then she passed, and no one knew what to do with the dolls, so her daughter had garage sales to try to sell them.
