May I humbly ask for a prayer for my husband?
It’s not dire, he’s not depressed, he will be ‘fine’.
He’s a couple of years from retirement from over-the-road truck driving. It’s a hard lifestyle. He doesn’t hate his job at all, he’s just tired. He’s living for tomorrow rather than today. While it gives him something to look forward to, he’s missing out on presence. Today is just a boring routine, and he’s not terribly interested in doing things that could make ‘today’ more enjoyable. I don’t know what to do other than be supportive and pray.
He’s very much awake, but he won’t give credence to the good things that are happening. I know he is just protecting himself from the disappointment he’s felt so many times before regarding things on the world stage.
I know there are many who feel similarly. Perhaps a prayer for all who are having a tough time with the mundane.

I am certain you are correct; we all go thru energetic phases in life. Processing the reality of the world stage against our preconceived beliefs takes a lot of energy. Rude awakenings tend to put things off into the future. I know this all too well. Transcending is trance ending.
It's the absolute best time to do the inner work, helps to know thy self. No pressure. It is what it is. Healing. Cognize it. Release it. Positive affirmations, uplifting inputs required IMHO. When he is ready to dance. He will dance.

humans were never meant to live in this mundane existence that most of us find ourselves in. it will literally drive you insane if you think about it too much...
that said thank him for me his work, it is greatly appreciated! i drove for a while but couldnt stomach it for a career. i too have stretches where i protect myself from disappointment even though i know in my heart what is being torn down and rebuilt....the wait is almost unbearable

Yes, it is. And when we stop and think about it, it is both perplexing and a blessing that we are able to keep on keepin' on in the midst of war, especially one that many don't even realize exists.
