Are you all prepped already in case something big does happen in the next two months or so?

Maybe we can help each other out on AU and create a list.
(Made one last year, but it would take a while to find again.)

--Food
(rice, beans, nuts, seeds, pasta, pasta sauce, crackers, peanut butter, granola bars, trail mix... )

--Water

--Paper products
(paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, paper plates/utensils)

--Trash bags

--Flashlights, batteries

--Solar lights
(for security outside -- but you can also bring some in for indoor lighting at night. Found some at the dollar store. They're not that bright, but they work.)

--Radio, batteries

--First Aid Kit
(create your own with whatever you might need)

--Personal products like soap, toothpaste, any prescriptions, vitamins, etc.

--Books, magazines, cards, board games

--Some cash

Please feel free to add to this list! Thanks!
🙏❤️

sun oven, rocket stove, water filtration, and toilet options, no electricity, means no water for flushing your horded toilet paper.

A sun oven sounds cool! And just recently heard of a rocket stove.
My neighbor told me about this. Had no idea!

I love my sun oven, I use it more than my electric oven, crock pot, you just need to go move it every once in awhile to adjust to the sun.

Your toilet article is cool too, but no electricity means no water for many, and all water will be extremely precious for drinking and cooking. Save only waste water for flushing. A bucket toilet option with a trash bag will not waste precious water .

That's a good tip! Thanks! I hope we don't ever get to that point, but good to know. People who can live off the grid are pretty amazing. If you can do all that, my utmost respect! Wow... Wish they constructed buildings with all this in mind. Visited a historic house once that had a front door and back door in the same place, so that when you opened both doors, you could get a good cross breeze. If I remember right, the brick helped insulate the house too. Now, it seems most things are made not to last. But in the upcoming good season, maybe construction companies will think outside the box for scenarios like this.
