How so? The public would have to be informed the Insurrection Act has been invoked. It is called due process; all citizens are have RIGHT to know what thier government is doing. In addition, why would a President have to invoke the Insurrection Act in secret? It is illogical and Unconstitutional to do so.
Military In charge? Well, REAL LIFE: the new SECDEF has given the order to standdown for 90 days to reivew extremism. Ordered and executed; happening RIGHT NOW.
It sure will be wonderful when we are all done with misinformation and disinformation. Can't wait to go right on to INFORMATION! Hope at some point we can get some straight facts instead of bits and pieces of nothingburgers.

Who do you think would inform the public?
The Public by law would have to be informed by the Presdient of the United States, in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS. That does NOT mean go hoem peacefully and disperse. It means an address to the nation or to congress stating the invokation of the Insurrection Act and the date and time of its execution applied in Dederal Register, the White House Correspondence Log, and a copy sent to all the Secretaries, and a copy to Department of Defense. This would then be followed by an upgrade in DEFCON and a briefing by military commanders to their staff and junior officers.
