I have been explaining to my kids that we would have to wait until 8 pm on a Thursday to see a TV Show and if we missed it we missed it. I did not even get in to "re-runs" yet.

we had a rich guy that ran a furniture store for years & years selling like Aaron's or Rent to own does.
was rather nice some lower income families could get stuff easier.
Not sure if that's where his dad got the TV.
we have so much of his Dad's stuff wouldn't surprise me if receipt is here.
he kept everything.
got food stamps or ration stamps his Grandmother had during WWII...
nice to go thru the old stuff

"To know where we are going, you need to know where we have been."

I do remember growing up in early 60s we had 1 of the only Color TVs...
friends would be amazed!!!
My Dad grew up in depression worked at a Movie Theater near Detroit so he absolutely loved watching TV
we often even now shout out some of Dad's phrases watching tv!!!
He lived with us for few years in the 90s.
Miss that Old man.
