Why the F does the IRS still exist???
They aren't accepting tax returns before Feb 12. Hopefully that means something will happen before then. If not, I will be waiting until the last day of the deadline for sure... if I pay at all.
Where did you find this info? I don't see it on the IRS website
They've been announcing this on our local news stations for at least a week. They claim it was to ensure all of the stimulus checks were out before adding to the work load. But that doesn't make sense to me at all given having a tax return sent to them early in past years has never created an urgency for them to get refunds out any quicker.
