Brought my son home from his DC internship. Life is good. I was in DC last week when the tornado warnings shut the city down. All businesses and museums closed around 3:00. Everyone being let out at the same time. I wanted to do a dance on the Mall singing the storm is upon us.
I have two autistic adult sons that have done very well with biomedical intervention. Sadly I have worked all summer with many many severely autistic children in our town. I cannot believe the numbers are still this high 18 years later. It’s unbelievable and heartbreaking to me that so many children are being diagnosed. Why have we not learned?

Such a beautiful place! My husband’s uncle ‘s family through marriage) live and own businesses on the island. His great great great (not sure how many greats) was the first lighthouse keeper and is buried on the island. They are Chippewas. We’ve been twice (once in a rental home and once at Mission Point Hotel. Both great experiences! Fun for people of any age! Grand Hotel and the Fort are great, also fun butterfly museum for kids as well as putt golf and riding bikes around the island to various picture spots.
I didn’t know that. Very neat! I’m in Middlesex County. Funny that we live in such a liberal state. Some people awakening though for sure.
