The Bible commands Christians to prove all things (1 Thess 5:21) and to overcome evil with good (Rom 12:21).
So while I believe there is some truth to the above post, the total & complete truth is that Christians are the ones declaring truth in the face of adversity.
The founders were Christians. They defeated the king and, for the first time in history since Exodus, formed a nation with only God as sovereign over the people. The deceptions & schemes that work against that today attack the stock of people who stood on truth to win freedom.
Our state of nature is at peace with creation and each other (Gen 1 & 2). It is only when sin is the foundation of our thinking and actions are things skewed. This is a very high bar - one that man cannot do without Christ - but still one that history has evidence that Christ blesses and favors as men work towards it.
