Heavenly Father, source of all comfort,
We pray for the people whose lives have devastated by rain and flood.
Bring them comfort, we pray.
Protect the vulnerable.
Strengthen the weak.
Give every creature comfort and keep them safe.

Have mercy on all those working to rescue the stranded and to feed the hungry.
And may our response to their suffering be generous and bring you praise.
For we ask it in Jesus name,

Take this water, evaporate all its accumulation and form clouds into the jet stream to travel west and southwest towards the west coast and to Texas where it is needed. Please spare Kentucky this flood and make her whole again, drying up the water by sending it out west where it is most needed. Thank you dear Lord.
