i'd never heard of monkey pox until recently. my mom is in her seventies and she's had shingles on a few occasions, the last time she had it, was in the fall of last year. that's what i thought when i first saw pictures of people with it, it's shingles. it takes a little while before it clears up and it's really painful. I've noticed recently that the commercials that would run all the time for shingles vax have magically disappeared. pretty odd.

mom hasn't and will never take the jab either. she knows what's up.
