One Day, about 20 Years Ago, I was Walking in the Woods near a Creek on a Property Owned by my Friend, Roger. It was a Beautiful, Unusually Warm November Day in Southern Iowa and I Felt a Strong Desire to Speak to the Grandfathers & Grandmother's and Ask Them to Bless the Spiritual Path that I had been Walking--at that time for well over 25 Years. I Verbally Spoke and Prayed Out Loud and Asked that they would Continue to Support Me as I Served the Earth
I Also Said: "If You have Heard My Prayers, Please Bless Me & Gift Me a Sacred Object, Like a Pipe, as a Sign that You have Heard Me.
I Then Entered into what I Now Know was a Trance-LIke State and the Scenery Around Me Began to Shift. The Creek Looked Slightly Different and the Water was Clearer.
I Found Myself Walking on a Rocky Sandbar and as I Looked into the Water at the Edge of the Creek I Noticed what Appeared to be a Bone. The "Bone" was Actually a 10,000 Year Old PIPE--A GIFT from the Ancestors!

This Isn't the Actual Pipe that I Found but it is very Similar. There is Tiny Hole that has been Drilled to be Used as Carburetor and on the Surface at the End of the Bone there is a Small Bowl Shaped Indentation and Discoloration from the Heat of whatever they were Smoking. The Bone is Hollow and they would have Inserted some sort of Reed so they could Smoke. It's also 'Shiny" when you hold it up to the Light, Presumably because it had been Exposed to the Hand Oils of the People Smoking It and there are Tiny Slash Marks where the Meat had been carefully Removed from the Bone.
