I made exactly this arguament when this red flag 'law' was first raised, years sgo.

Imagine you have a lefty neighbor, completely brainwashed by the 24/7 media propaganda.

They find out you own a gun, and, report to the police they 'believe' you are 'unstable' (ie you are not of their hive mind).

The cops come to your house, do an illegal search and seizure, based on this neighbors 'belief'.

Then, you have 30 days to prove him wrong - ie guilty until proven innocent.

30 days to pay a psychiatrist, and a lawyer, to prove your nut job neighbor wrong.

Who pays these costs when you prove you are a sane, law abiding person? Where are the penalties for FALSE ACCUSATION, SLANDER, DEFAMATION?

Because you know, each and every one of these cases will be covered in the local press, with great detail, and. much confabulation.

Your neighbors will always look at you sideways from then on, even though you are COMPLETELY INNOCENT.
