Thomas Jefferson had just 3 achievements
written on his tombstone.

He didn’t put that he was
the 3rd President of the United States,
or Vice-President under John Adams,
or Secretary-of-State under George Washington,
or that he was a lawyer, architect & inventor.

His tombstone reads:
“Here was buried THOMAS JEFFERSON
Author of the Declaration of Independence [and]
of the Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom
& Father of the University of Virginia.

1 Freedom for our country
2 Religious Freedom
3 Education

During his remarks at a dinner honoring
Nobel Prize Winners, on April 28, 1962,
President Kennedy revealed just how highly he thought
of Thomas Jefferson:

“I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent,
of human knowledge,
that has ever been gathered together at the White House,
with the possible exception
of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.”
~ JFK

He ALSO Spent A Lot of Time Re-Translating the Bible--the Result is THE JEFFERSON BIBLE....

Jefferson was amazing
& I've always loved what JFK said about him.
It was a brilliant quip.

If you've never seen a video of JFK's Press Conferences
do yourself a favor.
They are a laugh riot 😹
