protecting your shelter and food from any animals, water, spoiling,
making containers to carry and store food and water
feeding and caring for food animals
making your own clothes
sanitation...
taking care of yourself meducally - a broken bone could be a death sentence.

All these jobs were once full time occupations, just to survive... the idea that we can just survive on internet alone...

I have seen a microcism of what it is to survive outside of the modern system - my little veg garden.

I have had to deal with rabbits, mice, beetles, high wind, drought... just for a veg garden.

Survival is a rat race, whether its in the city or in the wilds, surviving outside of the modern system is a full time job, and, does not come with a retirement, unless you breed folk, and train them to look after you.
