I got to thinking about your reply here... what if ALL photography were deceptive? Or just selected ones, taken innocently/naively but changed over time. Happened all the time with our own photos taken back in the day of 135 mini-cameras and Polaroids. Color bleed and who knows what else. Eeeyikes.
