There's little-to-no need or reason to bring up socio-political junk.

Perhaps because all the outside noise is like a song you've heard so much that you're sick of it, and we've been looking into and through the looking glass for years that stuff does not phase us like it once did; or we've 'been there done that' and the luster is gone - so we're looking for something better or more.
