So I am trying Lemon, Cherry, and Orange tree seeds. Round one was a no go... Doing round two now... any suggestion on getting them to germinate??

can you tell me more about what you did for your round 1 attempt? :)
what we did:
peel shell off seed
place soft seed in moistened paper towel (no bleach)
seal it up in a small ziplock (labeled)
store in a shady spot, check for germination (4-8 wks)
plant & keep soil moist

I did not take off shell and put in the moist sponges put in air tight container and left in moderate temp dark. and when they got soft I thought I had rotted them.. sounds like they were just getting ready!!! How do I peel off the outer shell do I need to soften it first?
Once they germinate I am putting them in hydroponics system until ready to plant. I so very much appreciate this. Thank you.
