Bellen Lab appears to have been named after Hugo Bellen, who is originally from Belgium and is a Service Professor at Baylor College of Medicine in the Departments of Molecular and Human Genetics and Neuroscience.

I did a search on our resignations list for both “Bellen” and “Baylor” and found that the CFO of Baylor Scott & White Health (Fred Savelsbergh) resigned February 1, 2018.

Baylor Scott & White Health owns Baylor University Medical Center where the Bellen Lab is located that has a project named "Fruit Fly HUMANIZATION Project."
