Kat, I know she is alive. I've known it since the story went around that she was in the hospital, and the doctors were not letting anyone in to take her. They expected patriots to believe that Veronica, a beautifully tough chick with a sailor's vocabulary, wouldn't have gotten up and walked herself out of there?? I never believed the story. I knew they would announce she died. I knew it. But, I knew that the Veronica who I had two very long conversations with on the phone a few summers ago, would never have let them kill her. I hope she reads this, and Veronica, next time we talk I want you stay at my house for a visit, instead of staying w/General Flynn. And you can use all the potty words you want...it's one of the things I loved about you. You are a beautiful soul V. I'm so sorry we lost touch. She and I set a marathon record for me one night... we talked for nearly 3 hours. By the time we hung up she had me working a project for her and I was blessed by those phone calls. She was a hoot! I used to put her on speaker phone for my husband to join in.
