I have been able to accept everything I have heard so far. Aliens, med beds, time travel, life on other planets. But, I just can't get past flat earth. If we are in fact living on planet Earth, why wouldnt we be shaped like other planets, moons and stars?

I think pride is a factor as well. People don't like to admit they were wrong or misinformed.
This is also the reason for so many people with TDS - Trump Derrangement Syndrome. Their core belief is that the "Media", "Tech Giants", Memebers in their government are to be "Trusted" and someone calling them fake and corrupt, literally shatters their belief system.
