I visited the mobile morgue Chip Roy showed Sec Mayorkas—In Sept the commander said there were 27 bodies (initially counted 28)—It’s abt 80 miles from the border. Migrants walking north die in the elements trying to evade checkpoints. Coyotes leave sick or/weak migrants behind.

The sheriff tells me the mobile morgue was created out of necessity as the county morgue was overwhelmed. When a body is found in these rural counties it becomes the county’s responsibility. Many of the bodies are unidentifiable, the families will never know what happened to them.
